-Ideas from Jackal Tape #12. Lion's Share-

Are you satisfied with your life? Are you just a part of the masses of people just breathing in and breathing out, doing routine work everyday, sleeping to end the day, and waking up for the next? Why not spice life up a bit? There are masses of people out there, close, far, you just have to look. What do they have to do with you, you ask? Nothing much, except for a little bit of competition and challenge.

Everybody competes for something, whether for food, clothing, reputation and respect, everybody wants a piece of something. The bottom line is that people compete for that piece. The weak don't have much value in the such. Say we put it all in a fictional scenario. Your world --- a jungle. Your desires --- a piece of meat, and not just a piece of meat, but the biggest piece of meat. But of course, no jungle has JUST one predator to hunt food for the taking. That's where competition arrives. You don't know it, but you DO compete everyday for something you value.

Everybody values something important. That's a fact in life. Then there's the fact that some people value the same thing. Not everybody agrees to sharing. 50-50 isn't such a usual concept nowadays. Ideas don't value much in this world, but practicality does. To sum it up, winning would get you at least 75% of what you desire if you have to share, but if you're greedy, go and take the 100%, I mean why not?

Usually people encourage other people to achieve something. Achieve something? Why not achieve the highest possible position then? It wouldn't hurt, and logically, achieving the highest possible position equates to achieving the highest possible prize. If you have to do something, I mean, if you really have and want to, then be the Lion in what you do, be aggressive, aim for the win, and take down any other predator aiming for your prey. Be the Lion because the Lion is the King. You want meat, and meat doesn't go to the sheep.

But other sneaky figures are unavoidable. The jackals and the vultures are examples of the such. If you are not careful, then even if you are a Lion, these other animals will eat your share or even take a bite at you while you sleep. Just be vigilant for important things.

What I'm saying is be the best in what you do, and while doing so, achieve your goals --- your reasons for doing what you do. Then maintain that position. Do not show any openings to others. Setting myself as a prime example, I can say that even as I write this article, I am aiming for something, a prize, and to be ahead of my peers in what I do. I want to achieve something to prove my existence and not be on the receiving end of the pressure of losing. I want to be, as they may call it, "at the top of the food chain". Try to heed my advice --- climb the top and stay there.
